Status: Completed
A private residence located in a quiet canal district of Amsterdam.
This project was developed as a sequence of restrained, interconnected spaces, where material, light and proportion define the atmosphere.
The interior is built on a limited palette of dark wood, oxidised metal and soft mineral surfaces.
Natural light is carefully filtered and balanced with low, warm artificial lighting to create depth without contrast overload.
The main living and dining area are organized around a central table - conceived not as a decorative element, but as an anchor of the space.
Furniture is deliberately reduced in form, allowing the weight of materials and the precision of detailing to remain dominant.
Partitions in smoked and translucent finished create layered perspectives, softening transitions between zones while preserving privacy.
Reflections and shadows are used as spatial tools rather than visual effects.
Lighting is integrated and architectural.
Fixtures remain minimal, producing a diffused glow that reinforces the calm, inward character of the interior.
The project avoids any expressive gestures.
Its identity is defined through control - of light, of texture, and of what is deliberately left out.
